About Camerahn Alforque

Camerahn Alforque is a professional trumpeter, composer, and educator. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Camerahn moved to New York City in pursuit of his musical education. He studied under world-renowned trumpeter Jon Faddis, at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, where he also served as a teaching assistant. In addition to his academic studies, Camerahn has had the opportunity to perform with some of the most celebrated artists in contemporary music. He has worked with Solange Knowles, The Fugees, Jason Marshall Big Band, Revive Big Band, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Jazzmeia Horn and Her Noble Force, Roy Hargrove Big Band and many more. Camerahn has also recorded with Grammy-winning producers and musicians such as Jerry Wonda, Eric Bellinger, among others. His extensive performance experience includes venues such as the Greek Theatre (Berkeley), Carnegie Hall (New York City), Blue Note Jazz Club (New York City), Birdland Jazz Club (New York City), Apollo Theater (New York City), Rose Theater and Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center (New York City), Toulouse Theater (New Orleans) and Preservation Hall (New Orleans).
